WES was founded in 1887 as the PNEU
(Parents National Educational Union)
by the educationalist, Charlotte Mason
who believed in parents playing an
active part in their children's education.



The World-wide Education Service (WES) supplies tutorial based learning courses for children aged 4-14 years and enables parents to teach their children at home either on a full time or ‘top-up’ basis.

All courses are in line with the National Curriculum of England and tailored to children’s individual needs.

Accredited by the Open Distance Learning Quality Council (ODL QC)
